Hi I'm Danette

I am the oldest of seven children. I have four children and work full-time at the school where they attend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my husband since 1992. We have four amazing children. I enjoy cooking and cleaning up in the kitchen (I love a clean counter). I enjoy reading good books. I scrapbooked for several years but can't find time at this season of my life to do much of it. My girls take pictures and they are scrapbooking now though. I work at the school where my children attend. I run a Print Shop there (like a mini-Kinkos). I make copies, laminate, order supplies, bind books - and help teachers out anyway I can. I attend church on Sundays with my family. I love to sing, really loud and silly sometimes. I support my kids in their hobbies and after school activities.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents and many generations were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints. Being a Mormon is all I know. I honestly can't imagine my life and what it would be like without the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the foundation of who I am. I continue to try to set a righteous example for my children to follow - right now, they are my biggest motivation to be strong in my convictions. I know God lives and I know that Jesus is His son and that He atoned for my sins so that I could repent and be forgiven and return to live with Heavenly Father again some day when my turn on earth is over. I know Joseph Smith saw what he said he saw - the Father and His son. I know that he translated the Book of Mormon through the power of God. I am grateful for the sacrafices that the early pioneer saints of the Church endured so that the gospel could live on and be on the early today and that I could be apart of such a wonderful organization created by God for His children.

How I live my faith

I attend church on Sundays with my husband and children. I have recently worked with the young children ages 18 months to 2 1/2 years old. Teaching them simple truths about Jesus. I am assigned to visit two wonderful ladies each month. I look forward to our visits so that we can uplift each other and share life experiences with. I get my two boys to Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts each week and send my girls off to their meetings that they have with other young women. I enjoy the opportunity I am given at times to serve other members of our ward through preparing meals for others, participating in clean-up days around our community. I enjoy smiling and giving a happy "hello" to anyone I come in contact with. I enjoy being there to listen and give hugs whenever its appropriate.
