Hi I'm Jordan :)

I'm preparing to serve an 18 month mission in Billings, Montana. I love to laugh. I love my mama. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As of March 22nd, I'm preparing to serve a mission for 18 months in Billings, Montana. I report July 24th and I could not be more nervous and excited. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to serve the people in Billings and cannot wait to see what adventures await me there. But of course there is a sense of fear and uncertainty as I leave behind my family and friends and put my college education on hold for quite a bit of time. As I prepare though, I see how much the Lord blesses each and every one of us. It is said that “Whom the Lord calls, the Lord qualifies.” I can testify that He cares, and is aware of our struggles and needs. I have seen myself grow in ways I never thought possible BECAUSE of this call to serve. He is qualifying ME to spread His word and bring others to the happiness that I am blessed to know! I am generally a happy person and I love nothing more than a really good laugh that makes your stomach hurt. I also love to sing when no one is listening. Each day I look for the tender mercies of the Lord in my life and have made it a goal to thank Him when I recognize them. This has truly made the difference.

Why I am a Mormon

Being raised in the church, I cannot pin point when I gained my own testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. As I grew up and started to find out the truth for myself though, it came in small chunks. It was like putting a puzzle together. I know that Christ is my Savior and atoned for my sins and only wants what's best for me. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and translated the Book of Mormon through the power of God, which led me to know that the Book of Mormon is true. Once I prayed and received an answer that these things were true, I came to believe all the teachings within the Book of Mormon. And as the puzzle got closer and closer to being finished, I began to know, without a doubt, that this IS the true church of God. It is the source of my happiness and strength. And I am grateful to have it in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example. I try my hardest to live worthy of His spirit and to be the best I can be. I read my scriptures and say my prayers every night, almost without fail. I am a primary worker in church and fulfill my calling every Sunday as I help with the youngins and teach them simplified lessons to help begin their faith. I love to share the Gospel with my friends and share a little piece of the light that comes from it. SOON though, I will live my faith full-time on my mission where I spend every day for 18 months teaching people about Christ, His church, and the joy that it can bring their lives.
