Hi I'm Dean

I grew up in Utah. I have a family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have been married for over 20 years. We have of two daughters an one son. All of them are great kids and we are very proud of them. I am engineer, I work with a lot of other great engineers designing communication equipment. I like to hike and go camping. I also scuba dive. I like to take landscape photo's and also take photo's underwater.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of Christ's church because I have read the Book of Mormon. I put Moroni's promise to the test in Moroni chapter 10 of the Book of Mormon. I prayed to know if it is the word of God. I received an answer to that prayer and I know that it is the word of God. I have learned that if I live the commandments and follow the teachings of the prophet, I am happy and when I do not I am not happy. I have learned that in the lives of those that I go to church with. I have seen this in the lives of others that I know. Living the gospel gives you happiness. The gospel works, the Church of Jesus Christ has a prophet on the earth. Christ still leads his church through his prophet.

How I live my faith

I try to love others and follow the example that Christ set for us. I serve in our church and help others by serving them. I have been a webelos leader, cub master, scout master, a varsity (scouts) coach, a sunday school teacher, a primary (young children) teacher, a home teacher, and a clerk in the ward. I help other members of the ward by teaching their children and teaching the young men to organize and lead scout activities. I have been on many scout activities including campouts, jamborees, mountain man redezvous. We participate in the community by helping others in scout eagle leadership projects. My son's eagle project included building a fence around vacant land in the city. Our scouts have completed many eagle projects that have benefited the community. Our church recently participated in a city clean up where we helped another church to clean up their church grounds and build them a parking lot.
