Hi I'm Maggie

I'm a musician and a mathematician. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

For generations, my family has lived here in the South. I'm 19, and I'm the youngest of 3 kids. Since I love teaching and working with children, I'm majoring in Elementary Education. For the next 18 months, I am postponing my education so that I can serve a full-time mission for the Church in Texas.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up, my parents taught me about Jesus Christ and His gospel. As I got older, I realized that I needed to discover for myself if what I had been taught was true. Over the years, I have had many experiences that have strengthened my testimony of the truthfulness of this gospel. These experiences came after I used faith and was obedient to the Lord's commandments. I also learned that I can pray to know the truth, and God will answer me by letting me feel His spirit and influence in my life. By studying and praying about the Book of Mormon, I learned that this is the Lord's true church upon the Earth today.

How I live my faith

Throughout the years, I've had different responsibilities in the Church. I have served in the presidency of my classes where we meet to discuss how we can better fellowship and serve our friends. We also planned activities and service projects. Recently, I was a Sunday School teacher over a class of some of my peers, and I really enjoyed the opportunity to share what I've learned with my friends. Each day, I live my faith by striving to make choices that I know my Heavenly Father would approve of. I read the scriptures and pray to ask God for His help in my daily activities.
