Hi I'm Charmaine

I'm a Mormon. I am a convert.

About Me

I am happily married for 33 years. I am a mom of 4 children and grandmother to seven children. I was always a stay at home mom while my kids were at home and now that they have all grown up and married I have a part time job. I loved being a stay at home mom, I think it is the best job in the world. My other interests include fitness, biking, hiking, yoga, cooking, baking, crafting of all sorts, photography, traveling, reading, dogs, gardening with vegetables and flowers. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my husband and children and grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

When I ws in high school I was drawn to a group of kids that were Mormon. I was drawn to them because of the standards that they lived. I enjoyed being with them. Eventually they invited me to church activities like dances and mutual. They lived their lives in such a way that they were good examples of the gospel. After high school I went to Ricks College which is now BYU Idaho. It was there that I studied the gospel for myself. Everything that I learned made sense, and felt right. A couple of years later when I was ready to move out of my parents home I made the decision to be baptized. Now 33 years later I can look back and see that it was one of the best decisions that I have ever made. The gospel has been a guiding light for me throughout my life and I will always be grateful to those friends that I had in high school and the example that they were to me that led me to this gospel and the true church. I always hope that I am a good example of the gospel to others as I live my life each day so that they can see what a difference the gospel can make in someones life. I know that this church is the true church on the earth today and I am so glad to have it in my life.

How I live my faith

At church I have participated in many areas, from teaching the youth and the children to planning activities. Currently I am with the eight and nine year old girls. I enjoy doing activities and teaching them gospel principles. My testimony grows as I share it with them and as I watch and learn from them. I know that as we are serving others we are being helping hands for our father in heaven and that when we are serving others we are only in the service of our God. I pray for guidance that I may be helping hands for my father in heaven to those that need his help here on earth.
