Hi I'm Molly

I'm a college student. I'm going to be a kindergarten teacher. I want to change the world one 5-year-old at a time. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am attending Brigham Young University- Hawaii and LOVE it more than anything else. I'm an Elementary Education major and can not wait to start teaching. After I graduate this April, I'm going to marry and be sealed to the love of my life in the Portland, OR temple during the summer of 2013. I'm a happy person that really loves music. I like to run, stay up talking to my roommates and read Harry Potter. I'm a slight nerd but I also like to go have fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church, meaning that my mom and dad were members before I was around. I've gone to church every Sunday of my life, missing only weeks that I was very sick. I'm not Mormon because it's what my family does. I'm not Mormon because it's the only thing I know. I'm not Mormon because I feel pressure to stay in the church. I'm a Mormon because it's what I choose and what I know is right. I know that this church is true because I have prayed about it and I have no doubt in my mind that the prophet Joseph Smith restored the true Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know that the Book of Mormon is a record of the people from the Americas and that it has direction in it that is meant for our day. I know that families are eternal and that I can live them them and my Heavenly Father after I die. I know that my God and my Savior LOVE me. I know they both care about me and that they are separate identities from one another and from the Holy Spirit. There is no doubt in my young mind that I'm "missing out" on life experiences by being a member of this church. In fact, I feel blessed to have a full knowledge of things in the pre-mortal life, this life and the next. I love this gospel and testify that it is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day. My goal in life is to try to be as Christ-like as possible. I try to only act in ways that the Savior would have when He was on earth. I know that it's impossible to be perfect, but that is my daily goal. In doing so, I have many opportunities to serve those around me. The Savior loved everyone he came in contact with and he served anyone he came in contact with, no matter their circumstances. In my daily life I have made it a goal to act in such a way that Christ would be pleased with my efforts. I also do my very best to treat those around me with love and serve those that need my assistance. I live my faith by being a tool that Heavenly Father can use to help others. For me, living my faith is easy. It's something I do every day. But. The only way I'm successful in doing it every day is by starting my day with a prayer to my Heavenly Father asking for guidance. The Lord has a great power in my life and for that I'm extremely grateful.
