Hi I'm Lori

I grew up in Orange County, Ca. I have four children and 16 grandchildren. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in SoCal. I enjoy all the benefits of living in such a wonderful area. The beach and local mountains have been an important part of my life. I have been a small business owner most of my adult life. After raising my family I went back to school for Interior Design. My joy comes from doing things with my family, the arts, and being with friends. Being raised with 4 sisters and a brother the word "recycle" was practiced daily, thus I've become an advid garage sell shopper where there are plenty of opportunities to redo and give renewed life to furniture. I enjoy working in my yard, fixing and refinishing furniture, and I have a high energy dog that keeps me on my toes.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Mormon faith and gained my own testimony from study, experiences, and trying to live my life as the Savior would have me live. The gospel is at my core, the foundation upon which I make decisions and serve. One of the greatest joys in my life has been thru gospel discussions, studying the scriptures, and classes that have reaffirmed my faith. I believe God and Christ have a sense of humor and I try to do the same. Family to me is one of the most important reasons to be a Mormon because I believe families are forever.

How I live my faith

Often I have the opportunity to use my talents in craft projects, musicals, decorating and making scenery. I have done geneology for my family and for neighbors and friends. I think it is fun to help others, to be a good friend, and to serve those in need. Many times those needs arrise from my own family where I can lessen the load and spend special moments teaching my grandkids. In asking myself the question, "What would Christ do in this situation" the trail becomes clear and I am guided by the spirit as to what to do, who needs my help, and to ask the right questions. I strive daily to do unto others as I would have them do unto me. Wonderful things happen when things are done in this way.
