Hi I'm Cody

I'm a swimmer, I'm an artist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

First and foremost I would have to say that I am a child of God. I have been blessed with loving parents and 4 totally awesome siblings who are my best friends. I tend to see beauty all around me and this has lead me to enjoy things like art and music. I also love to be active: exercising, playing sports, just having fun are all good things. I love my friends and love hanging out and having fun. Life is meant to be enjoyed and thats what I do:)

Why I am a Mormon

"We would do well if we would slow down a little, lift up our eyes, focus on the significant, and truly see the things that matter most." This is my favorite quote by a modern day apostle and Im a mormon because the things that I have learned from being a member of this church help me to do just that. I know that the values I've been taught as a member have opened my eyes to what matters most. Love for the Lord and his children is what matters most. This realization has helped me strengthen my relationship with my family, be a more caring person, and brought me true and lasting happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by choosing to follow Christ one decision at a time. Its as simple as that; I choose and look to Christ. Jesus taught and lead by example so that we can know how to become better, more Christ-like people. Becoming Christ-like is the aim of this life. The things that I do throughout my everyday life are just an outward expression of my love for Christ.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Cody
Jesus, while here on Earth, taught that he is the way, the TRUTH, and the light. John 8:32 reads"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." So, when we come to know truth, or in other words when we come to know our savior, we are free. We can come to know Christ by reading the Bible, the Book of Mormon, and other revealed scriptures, all of which truly testify that Christ is our Savior and that he lives. Show more Show less
