Hi I'm Jon Gill

I'm a car enthusiast. I'm an Eagle Scout. I love people. I'm a USAF Brat. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in a military family. I've been all over the United States and even spent 5 years in Germany. While living there in my younger life, I had the opportunity of visiting 13 European countries. It was great experiencing lots of cultures and seeing places most people never get to see. I love all things automotive. I love driving. I love fixing cars and trucks. I love talking with other enthusiasts. I even love breaking stuff from time to time. I love just filling the tank with gas and driving all over untill the reserve light is on. Driving is just straight-up fun. I love to go to car meets and talk with other enthusiasts. Sharing stories is a great way to meet really cool people. I also love to improve cars and trucks. I love to make them perform better than they did before I touched them. I love to help other people. It always makes me happy to see other people happy because of what I did. I love to spend time with people and hear their stories. Everyone has a cool story to tell.

Why I am a Mormon

My mom and dad raised me in the church and gave me a knowledge of what's right and what's wrong. But, even with that knowledge I made plenty of mistakes. In my really young years I went through some very difficult times. I was in some really rough spots and the only thing that got me through it all was my faith in Jesus Christ and in the Church. Even though I was raised in the church I had to find out for myself that it was true. Throughout high school I experimented with the ways of the world. I fell into crowds that weren't doing what was right and it wasn't until around senior year that I discovered for myself where I need to stand in this world. I'm a Mormon because I know with all my heart and soul that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Church that Jesus set up on this earth so that we may all live with him again. I'm a Mormon because I know that through this Church I can help make people happy and through this Church I can live with my family forever in the Celestial Kingdom. I'm a Mormon because this organization is the only organization in the world that is 100% right in all that it does. The people may not always be right, but the Church is. I'm a Mormon because this is the way that people can experience true joy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by bringing others closer to Christ. I'm currently serving a full time mission in the Great Kentucky Louisville Mission where I get to teach others about this wonderful church. I try to be an example to all so that they can see the truth of this Gospel. When I get back home I hope to continue to be an example as I go into the automotive world and build friendships with non-members.
