Hi I'm Kelsey Lee

I love people and I love the Lord. I am currently serving as a missionary in the Taiwan, Taipei Mission.

About Me

As a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ, I am constantly learning about Jesus Christ and inviting others to come unto Him. Spending all my time sharing my love for the Gospel helps me understand and appreciate the atonement of Jesus Christ more. As I grew up, I was greatly blessed to know that God had a plan for me. Understanding that I was a daughter of God helped me to be confident and comfortable with who I am. My family is truly one of the greatest blessings in my life. I grew up with 4 sisters. I love always having a friend and the chaos that they bring to my house. I am grateful for the large family I have been blessed with. They are constantly making me a better person. I have always felt able to develop my talents and faith through relying on the Lord. One of my favorite things in the world is meeting new people and helping them understand Jesus Christ, being a missionary allows me to do that! I love it so much.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon not only because I was born into the church but because I know it's teachings are true. While the trials I have been faced with aren't very difficult compared to the ones other people may face, they have shaped who I am as a person. While I have wondered if this is right for me, after praying and reading the scriptures I always come back to the fact that the church will always be where I belong and it will always be true. I know the Book of Mormon to be the word of God and I also have a testimony that if you read it and ask our Father in heaven to help you know the truth, you will find that it is true. I have been lucky enough to feel Gd's love in so many ways. I know who I am and I know that God created each of us with divine potential and it is our job to work hard to fulfill that potential. I love this church, it's teachings, and the strength, power, and happiness it has brought me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to the people around me and sharing the gospel with them daily. I loce missionary work and love talking about the gospel. Everyday when I make decisions I think about how this will effect those around me. Whether it be my Father in heaven or a girl in my class, I always try to positively influence others. I am so greatful for the blessings and joy that making the right decisions has given me. I also look to those around me as examples of the faith. I appreciate the example ]s given to me by my mother, sisters, and church leaders.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Kelsey Lee
I have found the LDS church to be a church of equality. I have always been taught that I am just as smart as boys, just as strong as boys, and have just as much divine potential as boys. Men and women were created so that we could learn and grow and uplift each other. In order for us as children of God to reach our full potential, we must find eternal companionship. With that companion, we must start families so that we may bring more souls to this Earth to learn and grow. We want to become more like Heavenly Father. Our goal is to come home to Him. God is a father, he has children and loves us and wants us to learn. In order to become more like Him, we must raise children in families. In doing so we get a better understand God's love for us as well as His eternal plan, we must seek eternal companionship and raise children. We believe that God is married and that we have a Heavenly Mother. We believe that God endowed women with the divine ability to create life. While it takes a man and a woman to create life, women have been blessed with the responsibility to nurture and raise children before they are born and as they grow up. Women and men are both given sacred responsibilities in order to build up the kingdom of God. Show more Show less
