Hi I'm Weston Spencer

I'm a husband, a father of two beautiful kids, a dentist, I can jump real high, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

First and most importantly I'm married to a beautiful, faithful girl. I have 2 kids that can't let me leave without telling me they love me. I love my work and the people I get to help every day. Sometimes I joke about saving lives one tooth at a time. I love to play sports and currently try to do Crossfit as often as possible. I can speak Japanese thanks to a 2-year mission to Japan I served for my church. I realize I am very blessed in my life to be given the opportunity every day to work hard and also play hard.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon. Growing up in Salt Lake is everything you expect from the bubble. All of my friends were Mormon. 14 of us went on to serve missions. I chose to serve a mission because I grew up watching my cousin and uncle leave and return as different men. Something happened to them that made me want to pursue serving a mission. As I prepared I realized I had a lot to learn about the Book of Mormon, the Church, and the atonement of Jesus Christ. I realized I had to find out for myself if what I was going to share with thousands of others was really true. So, I tested the promises of the Book of Mormon, I prayed to know if it was true. I prayed to know if what I was doing was right. As I continued to pray I would have experiences that would confirm to me that if I would trust in Jesus Christ, He wouldn't lead me astray. I began to understand the atonement and that to believe in Christ means to believe Him when he says you can find peace, happiness, and hope for things to come. I consider myself a literal "Eternal optimist".

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by being honest in everything I do. I hope that others can look at me and consider me a man of integrity. I teach my kids to pray and to ask for help when they need it.
