Hi I'm Brenda

I'm a Mormon. I'm from S. California. I loved my "career" as a full-time homemaker with 7 children and then grandchildren.

About Me

I am a wife of over 40 years, mother of 7 children, and a grandmother to wonderful grandchildren. I love to write cards and letters to my grandchildren and other family members. I like to do family history work and have written several family history papers and books. I love to collect pictures and stories of my family and ancestors. I like to read books such as biographies, historical works, and historical fiction and enjoy being part of a book club when I have a chance. Other hobbies I enjoy are stamping, scrapbooking, and sewing.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a large Latter-day Saint family and come from a long line of Mormon ancestors. I have always had a testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My parents were very active in the church and taught us the gospel daily in our home by their actions, family prayers, family nights, and teachings. At an early age I read the Book of Mormon and took Moroni's challenge in Moroni 10:4 "...to ask God, the Eternal Father in the name of Christ, if these things are not true.." I know the Book of Mormon is true and have read it many times and continue to read it daily.

How I live my faith

Recently I served a full-time mission with my husband in the Micronesia-Guam mission. We had many wonderful experiences on our mission together. We try to live our religion by praying, attending church, studying the scriptures, serving in the church positions that we are called to, attending the temple regularly, being kind, being honest, keeping the sabbath day holy, and looking for ways to serve others. During my life I have had many church callings such as teaching children, serving as president of the women's organization, serving in the family history library, and serving as a temple worker in the Los Angeles and Billings Temples.
