Hi I'm Diana

I'm a happy grandma, busy with my garden and genealogy and great kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Now I'm a retired tech writer - grateful for the good experiences of the past and very grateful for the time to choose my own projects now.

Why I am a Mormon

Friends in high school talked to me about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and it made sense. It answered gospel questions that no one else seemed to have a satisfactory answer to -- such as what happens to people who never had a chance to hear the gospel in mortality. My parents initially opposed my joining the church, but eventually my mom gave permission for my baptism. I came out of the baptismal water feeling like I was on fire with joy, and I have never been sorry that I made that commitment. Although I thought I was conducting my life well before I was baptized -- honor student and all that -- the church has led me to grow in ways that I never anticipated. I am a better person because I have tried to follow the teachings of the church. Also, those teachings and my congregation have been there for me when times were tough. They lifted me. There are not words to express my gratitude for the tremendous blessing of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

As Christ lifted and blessed each of us, I try to follow that example and do what I can in service to others. For now that includes helping patrons at our Family History Center, serving in our community's Genealogy Society, and teaching children about the New Testament on Sundays. Each way that I serve blesses my life in a different way.
