Hi I'm Aaron

I'm a student, spear fisherman, born and raised in Hawaii, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the ocean and body boarding, spear fishing, diving for tako (octopus). I love food and hanging out with friends, listening to music, and watching movies. I'm a full time college student, I'm getting my associates degree in business management and majoring in Intercultural Studies with an emphasis on Interculutral Peace Building. I'm fascinated with different cultures and especially trying new foods. I'm Japanese and Okinawan born and raised in Hawaii.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the doctrine it teaches are the same that Jesus Christ taught. I was able to read and pray about the Book of Mormon for myself. I know that God answers prayers and He has given me an answer that it is true. I know that Joseph Smith restored the church and with that we have a living prophet and apostles on the Earth today. God continues to speak to us today, I know that He loves us. I have been so blessed in my life. I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. He came to sacrifice Himself for all of us, that we would be able to return to live with God again. I know that we can each pray to know the truths that God would have us know. Being part of this church has been a huge blessing in my life by giving me council and direction and helping me build a foundation on Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith, by trying to do the things that I know that God would want me to do. I strive to read the scriptures to gain council and direction. I pray to my Heavenly Father, and I know that He listens each and every day. The way I live my faith is simple and there is much more that I can do to follow the example of my Savior Jesus Christ but by serving my fellow men, I feel such great joy. By striving to live the things that the Savior taught is where I have felt the greatest happiness.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Aaron
It is an interesting question since it seems that the prophet Joseph Smith is talked a lot about in the church. To clarify, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints does not worship Joseph Smith. We recognize him to be a prophet of God, who was able to receive direction and council for people on earth, just as other prophets have done in the past, such as Noah, Abraham, and Moses.
