Hi I'm Ammon

I grew up in West Jordan, Utah. I am in the US Navy's Nuclear Power Program. I have a wife and three kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, father of four, and a sailor in the United States Navy. I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and am currently active in a couple different responsibilities (callings as they are called in the church).

Why I am a Mormon

I have met many people from other religions, and have attended several other churches as well. I am so grateful for the example that these people have set for me. In all my "wanderings," however, I have never found a place where I have felt the Spirit stronger than in the temples of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. That combined with the simple doctrines the Church teaches have led me to gain my own testimony--through prayer and meditation of my own--of the truthfulness of these teachings.

How I live my faith

Living the things I am taught is a way I have found I stand out from other people in my line of work. The way I talk and the things I choose to take part in through my job in the Navy has led people to ask me about my faith. I was once told that,"The only pamphlet from the Church that many people will read is you." I have tried to live my life in such a way that I can be a "good/interesting pamphlet," rather than a bad one.
