Hi I'm Tammy

I am a wife, a mother, a Veteran of the Army National Guard,I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mother of two grown young men. I am a wife and a Grandmother. I have done many things and worked many jobs. I have been a meat wrapper, a deli girl, a cashier, relief baker, cake decorator, front desk clerk, assistant bakery deli manager, relief night auditor and on and on. Most of my jobs had one thing in common "Customer Service" I enjoy helping others. I love to see people smile and to hear them laugh. It brings me great pleasure to serve others and help them in ways they most need. I also served as a soldier the Oregon Army National Guard as a Patient Administration Specialist. Most currently I am recovering from a life breakdown. I became ill and was given medicine that had a bad effect on me both physically and mentally. For a while I no longer wanted to participate in my own life. Today however that has all changed. I am recovering from the mental health break down and working toward improving my physical health every day. I am currently interested in the study of permaculture gardening and have been experimenting with food fermentation such as sauerkraut and sour pickles. I have also been learning how to preserve food and enjoy very much the processes all the way from putting the seeds in the ground to harvesting to canning.

Why I am a Mormon

I read the Book of Mormon and I believe it to be true. I began taking the Missionary lessons three years before I was baptized. I had a lot to over come and so I had to be sure. In the process of reading the book of Mormon and praying about the truthfulness of it changes began to happen in my life. Complete undeniable changes that are nothing short of a miracle for me. I know that if you read the book of Mormon and pray to know, you will know just as I do. I also know that it will cause an undeniable change in you that everyone will notice. Because once you know the message that Christ has for you and that this is his true church restored here on earth, Why would you not be a Mormon

How I live my faith

I am the Librarian for our ward. I help teachers with material for their lesson plans. Whether they need books, videos, pictures or other visual aids to help go along with the lesson. The library is a fun and busy place. We have a lot of great books that can be checked out by members and non members as well as Movies and Music. I enjoy the opportunity I have every month to do my visiting teaching and to go and visit with the new friends I have made. Not only do I get to visit them and share a gospel message but I genuinely love and care about them and their lives and it is a great chance to see them when I probably would not get out other wise. It has helped me to be a better friend than I had been before. I also enjoy participating in the Humanitarian projects. I enjoy putting together quilts or school kits and baby kits. With all the natural disasters and things that can happen like a house burning down and a family that just lost everything. It feels good to pack boxes full with the finished quilts or stuff as many of those kits in a box as we can and ship them out or give them away to those who need them. It is also an amazing experience to participate in a Mormon Helping Hands project. To join in with so many others and go out and clean up Black Butte Lake, to weed eat and rake, pick up trash and leave the place looking like it just got a fresh hair cut in just a couple hours. Or Cleaning up Chapman Town and cleaning out yards, painting houses, hauling trash, repainting the school and planting gardens. I enjoy sharing with my neighbors, I share my peaches and eggs from my chickens with them and they share their lives and sometimes their cookies with me.
