Hi I'm Janna

I live in Arizona. I love to be a Mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to travel. I love to see, experience, and appreciate different ways of living. I love to do just about anything active or outdoors. From marathons to sky diving, I love the thrill of doing or accomplishing something that requires hard work or for me, courage. I love to learn new things...especially if someone (my husband) will point me to the best source to learn it. I love to appreciate the talents and knowledge others have that I do not, such as singing, creating beautiful things, or knowing how to fix a computer. I love the chance to enjoy a good book with a friend and to share insights. Patience is something I have to learn and re-learn, which I get to practice doing as a mother of 6. Being a wife and mother are my most favorite roles in all of life. I find great joy and purpose in making this my "job of choice". I love the chance to play and learn from young people. It has been a part of every opportunity to serve in church. I love the chance to teach parenting classes, to train as a parent coach and to work for someone I admire and respect.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, a Mormon. I am a member today because I have studied and received answers to my prayers as I put the effort in to know for myself that it is true. I know that Heavenly Father desires that we all seek and find Him and that we do not live in a state of confusion as to where to find complete truth. I know there is a living prophet on the earth today and that through the restoration of the priesthood power of God we have access to divine revelation for our current day and time. I believe that a prophet brings hope and peace in troubled times because we can, as in times of old, follow direction from a prophet of the living God. I believe the Bible testifies of Christ. I know the Book of Mormon is another witness that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. I feel a sweet power and peace as I study the scriptures. I know that Heavenly Father hears and answers my prayers. Above all else, I feel the love and mercy of a Father as I have turned to him in hard times and asked for help to continue onward.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith as I try to see, love and serve others as the Savior would. It is easy to fall into the trap of judging instead of loving and serving, especially with those close to us in life. Finding the balance of how to live a life with time to love and sacrifice for any in need, while taking care of all our primary responsibilities, is a battle worth fighting. For this reason, I enjoy not only the chance to serve others at church but to use the character and skills developed in such opportunities, to notice and serve others in my community...or in my life at any given minute.
