Hi I'm John

I grew up in Utah. I work hard, enjoy learning, and love to have fun with friends and family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up with mountains, lakes, a forest and desert around me I have come to love the outdoors. Hiking, Horseback riding, Quading, Boating, and simply Camping are never far from my mind. I love adventure, and spending time with those I love. As part of a larger family independent thinking was nurtured into us at a young age. We were taught to work, to learn and to develop a better way. That is who I am and what I love to do. I am currently enrolled in a University of my choice. I am studying Business and seek to use my skills in the near future. I enjoy staying aware of what is taking place around me. As a junior in High School i was invited to attend a National Symposium for Intelligence Defense and National Security. It was an eye opening experience, that allowed me to gain valuable insights in the world that we live. I have also grew up enjoying sports with family and friends. The sport that I eventually took a liking to was soccer where I eventually played for 9 years. I love to laugh.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I seek to be happy. I seek truth. I seek answers, and I seek to live with God again. I have chosen to be a member of His church because I have found answers to the questions that have brought me lack of comfort, increased pain and minimal understanding. These answers and the relationship that I have forged with my Savior, Jesus Christ, have brought ever increasing comfort into my life. I am a Mormon because I have taken the promises of the Savior and acted upon them. I have prayed and found answers through the Holy Spirit. I have read and understood his words. I have felt his love for me. I am a Mormon because it is a way of life that is in direct correlation with the life of the Savior, and I seek to be like him not just a believer in him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by seeking to emulate the teachings and life of Jesus Christ. Each day I read his words, found in the Scriptures, that I might say what he would say in the situations and circles that I am placed in, such as work, school, family, and friends. I have been in places where language is low and vile, as I remember to keep my language clean and emulate the Savior words of encouragement and love, I live my faith by being an example of the Savior in the presence of others. Each day, I pray. I pray for those that I have a relationship with and are in need of God's love and assistance. I pray for those who I don't know and yet I may come in-contact with that day. I pray that I might, with the assistance of the almighty, be a blessing in the lives of those around me. I act on my prayers. I am a home teacher. Each month I travel to the homes of specific members of our congregation and listen to them. I prepare a message from the scriptures that we might edify one another in the activities of the world and doctrines of Christ. I teach that I might be taught. I am a student. I live my faith by learning from others, and from attending institutions of higher learning. I do this that I might reach my potential and have a wider circle of influence for those around me. I am also able to understand what Christ did. I live my faith by my daily actions, my faith is who I am. The few events I have mentioned do not give ample credit to the small more intimate experiences that make living my faith, worth living my faith.
