Hi I'm Brandee

I grew up in Oregon. I am a mother of 5 children. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I was born and raised in Oregon and moved to Idaho to raise a family. I enjoy exercise however I can get it; Hiking, biking, using my eliptical, playing tag with my children, or chasing my toddlers. I was a convert at 29yrs old and it changed the world for me, and most importantly my role as a mother and my purpose here on earth every day of my life

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I know that the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is truly the Lord's church here upon the earth. I am a mormon because I've learned that families can be together even after death, for eternity. Before I was a member of the Lord's church I remember thinking to myself. "How could I be here on earth doing what ever I want and yet somehow sit at the same table as Abraham, Noah, and Moses when there life was dedicated to doing what the Lord wanted, as was written in the bible." I strongly felt that the Lord would not take the time to build this earth and all its beauty and send us here with no mission in mind. The Lord spoke to me clearly though his Holy Spirit and told me himself that this was the church I was to join. I am a mormon because the Lord spoke to me. As promised in the scriptures "He that seeketh

How I live my faith

I live each day saying morning and evening prayers to my Heavenly Father. Our family prays every day together morning and night and at each meal. I strive to read my scriptures every day. I am actively trying to be industrious by serving my family through chores and meals, or gaining more knowledge on Christ and his gospel through watching the BYU channel or reading good books, or reviewing articles from our prophets and apostles. I serve the young children from 3-11yrs in our church as a teacher, instructor, and friend every Sunday. I attend four Leaders meeting throughout the month. My Husband and I hold gospel discussions Sunday, Monday and randomly in our home to teach our children of Christ and his commandments, and as guidance and answers to day to day trials. I hold regular visits with 3 ladies in our church to discuss life, trials, goals and how the Savior's gospel can help, and assess any needs spiritually, physically, financially that me or others members may be able to help with. My husband and I strive to share the gospel or our services with others we know and find. I strive to keep the Lords commandments and repent daily of our mistakes and raise our children to do the same. We pay our tithing, fast offering;that helps those locally with any necessity they may need, Humanitarian offering; helps around the world for hurricanes, earthquakes and other disasters. All this I do that I might become a better person who desires only to do good continually, to become more like the Savior. that my family and I can claim the blessing of dwelling together with our Father in Heaven and our Savior for eternity!

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Brandee
The temple is a vital part of the Lords work here on the earth. The scriptures say "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved"(Mark 16:16). How many have died without baptism? God loveth all his children and many have died without the knowledge or ability to be baptized. Some have lived in countries where they did not have the right to learn or be baptized. God does not make mistakes, therefore a way must be provided for such things. The temple is the way. Just as Christ suffered for our sins, because we were physically and spiritually to weak to suffer this ourselves, we can be baptized for those that have died, as they are no longer here to be baptized themselves. In Hebrews 11:40 "God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect". Serving in the temple to do this sacred work is the better thing. Our ancestors dead can not be made perfect without our help, and we can not be made perfect until we can serve as the Savior did, both in the temples for the dead and out of the temple for those still here through service and sharing the gospel.
