Hi I'm Austin

I was raised in Idaho. I play guitar and never stop listening to music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Music is probably one of my favorite things in the world, and I think I´d be pretty lost without it. I love seeing live music and the wonderful times of going to concerts with my friends. I play the guitar, piano, saxophone, and I sing. Music can have a wonderful effect on a person and I love sharing that effect with other people. More than that, I´m a pretty normal 19 year old boy.

Why I am a Mormon

My family is all members, so I've been lucky enough to have the Gospel as a part of my life since I was born. Throughout my life, I've had many LDS friends and many that aren't of the same faith, and I've always noticed that the LDS ones have a certain happiness that I know comes from the Gospel and the knowledge that we have of the Plan of Salvation and the Atonement

How I live my faith

I live my faith by remaining remaining active in my local single´s branch. I love knowing that there´s a place I can go with friends my own age, who share my likes and my beliefs. By remaining active and always doing what I can to go to church, go to activities, and to help other members of the branch feel welcome, I know that I can share with them the same joy that I receive from the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Austin
The only way to know for yourself if Mormonism is true is to pray to your Heavenly Father. Many times, people think that the only way to receive an answer is to physically see Jesus Christ or God, but we receive answers to the questions that we´ve earnestly sought to answer through the feelings of the Holy Ghost that we feel when we attend church, read the scriptures, and pray to know. Many people are going to say that their beliefs are the most correct, which is why the invitation is always to pray to know for yourself. The happiness and peaceful feelings that we will receive when we pray is something that can prove to us that we´re receiving a confirmation of the truths of the Church through the Holy Ghost. What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

Austin
Eternal life is the goal we always have in mind as members of the Church. Everything we do helps us to get a little closer to that ultimate stop. Eternal life differs from Immortality in the sense that immortality means living forever, while eternal life means living for all eternity with a perfected body and our families in the presence of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ "in a state of neverending happiness." How great of a goal should that be for all people?! I love knowing that as I obey and try to do better every day, God has promised us that eternal blessing. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Austin
The reason that Mormons believe in the Bible is because we know God really has revealed his will to prophets throughout the entire history of the world. Since the beginning with Adam, God has used these chosen prophets to guide his children on the Earth with information that would be useful for all time. For this we know that the Bible is important to all of us as it can help us to understand more about the importance of Jesus Christ in our lives and can help us understand better how we should live.
