Hi I'm Weston

I was born in Arizona. I'm a musician. I love learning anything and everything. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

There are few things in this life that I enjoy more than music and education and I strive for excellence in both. I enjoy working on computers. I enjoy exercising my mind with puzzles or a good book. I want learn as much about science as I can. The inner workings of this universe fascinate me. I will do anything for a friend. I participate in musicals at school. I will gladly give help to anyone who asks for it

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents are Mormon so I was raised in this church. Up until my teenage years I kind of took my parents at their word that God existed, that this church was the true church, that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I never really questioned it. But in 7th grade my best friend, Daniel, died of leukemia. I was devastated. I had always been taught that their is an afterlife, that if I lived according to God's commandments I could see Daniel again, but I didn't really "know" it. I had to know that I would see him again. I studied and prayed. I asked if God was there. I asked if this church was his true church. I asked if I would see Daniel again. I received a feeling of overwhelming peace. I knew that Daniel was in a better place. I knew that I could see him again one day if I live my life the way God wants me to that I can be with Daniel, and my earthly family, for eternity. That is what I continually strive for. That is why I live the way I do. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following Christ's example and serving everyone that I can. I participated actively in my Boy Scout troop where we performed many service projects. I am an Eagle Scout which means I organized and completed a project of my choosing. I put in concrete ramps at a retirement community near my house. I frequently volunteer my time to help teach music to a nearby elementary school. I am frequently asked for tutoring in math and science from my friends, family, and congregation which I willingly give. I served as a leader in my youth group in my congregation for a year.
