Hi I'm Christian

I love reading, writing, and technology. I'm a student at ASU, I'm a chocoholic, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have two wonderful parents, two older sisters and four younger brothers. I served a mission in Fortaleza, Brazil and still like to speak Portuguese when I can. I am currently a student at Arizona State University where I am studying Linguistics and Physics. I hope to eventually go to law school and become a Patent Attorney. I love reading, both fiction and non-fiction. I also love to write, listen to music, learn languages, see movies, and read up on new technologies.

Why I am a Mormon

Faith in my Savior Jesus Christ has been as basic to me as breathing. My parents taught me at a young age to love the Lord at a very young age and I haven't stopped since. The knowledge that God lives and loves me makes it easier to look around at everything that is messed up in the world and in my own life and know that everything will be OK. There is nothing to substitute the Peace that comes from knowing that I have a Savior who comprehends my sorrows and my sins on a deeper level than even I can understand. Jesus Christ took upon Himself the pains of all living creatures in an infinite atonement and saved us all from both the physical and spiritual deaths. He is willing to lighten our load if we can only humble ourselves and come unto Him. Life is hard but we were not meant to do it alone. The Lord has raised up a church again upon the Earth through His servant Joseph Smith. We have a living prophet to lead and to guide us. We have the authority of God by which we can learn principles of truth and repentance, be cleansed from sin through baptism, and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost that will lead us unto truth and support us in our trials. We have the Book of Mormon, the Bible, Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price to show us what we must do to have peace in this world and eternal life in the world to come. I'm a Mormon because it is the only way I know to have peace and feel that my life means something.

How I live my faith

I teach Sunday School at my church. I am usually terrified and always self-conscious of my difficulty speaking in front of people but I love learning and talking about my Savior Jesus Christ and His gospel and I did learn pretty well how to teach while serving a mission in Brazil, even if it was in a different language. I attend the LDS Institute at my school and love to talk about my beliefs and especially about my mission.
