Hi I'm Amy Anne Rhodes Lake

I'm a mother, wife, sister, friend,

About Me

I am a mother of 5 children, ages ranging from 5-18. once upon a time I dabbled in interior design, and fashion. I love cooking, reading, traveling, scuba diving, making friends, hanging out with my kids, gardening, watching college football and professional basketball, I love decorating, and creating beautiful things and areas. I'm drawn to texture, color, and architecture. I grew up working retail in the family businesses where I learned to "love" working with people. Born and raised in a small farming community taught me appreciation and love for this amazing world we live in. Although I live in the city, I am and forever will be a country girl. I'm a little loud, and a little irreverent I believe that life is to short to take my self too serious.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a large LDS family, baptized at age 8. I choose to continue to follow this faith because I love my Savior Jesus Christ and am grateful for the atonement and what it means to me in my life. I am an imperfect being and recognize that daily, but with the gospel of Christ as my foundation, I have a much larger perception of where I fit in this world, and that i can always turn to my Savior. In a society with so many questions, I know certain things "for Sure", who I am , why I am here, what is my worth, what next? I may not have all of the answers, but I have a personal relationship with my "Father in Heaven", and that gives me faith and strength to endure trials, and everyday disappointments that are always there. I feel strongly that my children are raised in a home where they know there is a God in heaven who knows and loves them individually. I want them to know what a moral compass is and know that it is never to late to "come unto Christ". I want the spirit to feel welcome in our home, and testify to each of them so that they can recognize it throughout their lives. I am a mormon because it brings great Peace to my soul.

How I live my faith

As a member of the church I have had years of opportunities to work with others. I especially love the youth, all ages. but having said that I also love working working with the ladies in our community and church. I have learned and grown so much when I have opened my heart and allowed others to help and serve. Currently I am involved with helping the other women on my around to strengthen their homes, and families, and to serve those "in need", this includes making meals, babysitting, listening, loving, compassion, basically any way we can help others. I enjoy throwing, parties, luncheons, get-together's. My 4 boys, are all involved in scouting projects as well. My life is "full", and I have "happiness" and truly enjoy helping others!
