Hi I'm Allyson

I'm a daughter, sister, friend, student, and employee. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a student at Brigham Young University majoring in Communication Disorders so I can be a speech therapist. I hope to make a difference in the lives of many. I grew up in Idaho and Texas, mostly in Texas. I love music of all kinds. My favorite band is Lady Antebellum. I play the Piano and Bass Clarinet though I admit I'm a little rusty right now. I'm not very good at dancing, which is a result of my lack of grace and coordination. My favorite thing to do on a rainy day is curl up under a blanket and read a book. I still love all things Disney and probably always will. My favorite holiday is Christmas. I really don't like the cold but I'm ok as long as I'm warm in the cold. One day I want to learn how to surf and run a half marathon. I love my family and wouldn't be half the person I am today without them. I can't wait for the future and all that it holds!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know it is the only way for me to be truly happy. I know that Heavenly Father loves me and both hears and answers my prayers. I know that Jesus Christ suffered for my sins and it is through Him I can return to live with Heavenly Father. I know The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and it speaks the truth. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet who leads and guides us today. I am grateful for the knowledge I have of the gospel and the many blessings I receive each and every day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day as I make choices based on my knowledge of the gospel and strive to become more like Christ. I attend church every Sunday and it is the highlight of my week. I exercise my faith when I pray to Heavenly Father and I receive answers to my prayers as I study the scriptures. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for me and I try to follow it in everything I do. I also plan activities for sisters to attend and visit them, letting them know how much I love them and how much the Lord loves them.
