Hi I'm Brittany

I am an Animal Rights Activist and a Vegan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the youngest of 6 kids. I became an aunt at the age of 7. I have a niece, 2 nephews and recently became a great aunt at the age of 27! I absolutely adore children. I sing in my car. I LOVE movies and TV. Superman is my all time favorite superhero. I enjoy helping great organizations like the World Wildlife Fund and the Humane Society of the United States. I love animals and believe they should be protected and respected. After 14 years of vegetarianism, I finally became a vegan. Independence is very important to me and I work hard to make sure I have that luxury. My motto in life is "Everything happens for a reason". I've known sorrow, and have been faced with difficult problems, but I know it is all for my good. I learn something new everyday, and am excited to see what each new day holds for me. I'm not the most social person in the world, but I am always friendly. I try to "walk a mile in someone else's shoes" a lot. I love to figure out who someone is, and why they are the way they are. I love my family and friends. I am grateful for each of their strengths, and examples. And, I love the gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

My mother was raised in the gospel, her parents were converts. She took me to church with her every Sunday. My whole family was baptized, but by the time I turned 8 and got baptized, it was just my mom, one sister, and I who went to church. The rest of my family has been inactive for a very long time. I have seen my older siblings struggle through many of life's trials. Because of this, it made me want to be a better and stronger person. I did not want to live my life that way. Though I love this gospel, and know that it is true, I've had a hard time going to church, because I thought other people didn't understand what my life was like. But, as I've gotten older, I've realized that one person knows EXACTLY what I've been through. Jesus Christ has experienced my pain, and the pain of my loved ones. I know that He loves me. I live by His commandments because I want to show my appreciation and love for what He has done for me. Nothing in my life has made more sense than the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that without it, I would have been a much different person. This gospel has given me hope for the future, love in my heart, and light in my soul.

How I live my faith

I wear a CTR, (Choose The Right) ring on my finger everyday. It reminds me of my purpose. I want to be an example to those around me. I do not swear, drink, smoke, or do drugs. I go to church on Sunday, and keep the Sabbath day holy. I pay a tithing to give thanks for my many blessings. I try my hardest to help those in need, and try not to judge a person by their flaws. After all, we all have them... I'm a shy person so I don't talk a lot about my religion openly (or anything else for that matter), but if you ask, I will let you know!
