Hi I'm Megan

I'm from the great state of Indiana (go Colts), I love my friends and family, I'm a starving college student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now I'm going to college studying communications with an advertising emphasis - which means I love news, billboards, and working with others. I'm a roommate and a sister and I love being with people. I love movies, music, sports, the works. I pretend I can dance when really I can't, I don't skip through the commercials, and I'm a firm advocate for singing really loud in the car to the radio. I've been known to eat a whole box of Mac n Cheese, skip class when it's raining outside, and decorate for Christmas before Thanksgiving. Hey, we all have flaws. And one day, I hope to change someone's life for the better.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in the LDS faith, but now that I'm on my own no one is making me go to Church. But I choose to go and participate because I believe in this Gospel and if I didn't have it in my life, let me tell you, I'd be a mess. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has made me a better person and it continues to make me want to improve. I'm definitely far from perfect but my religion gives me a path and reason to want to be a better person. I believe we are here to learn and grow and the Church gives me a channel through which to do that. I'm a Mormon because I have found out for myself the Gospel is true and I could never forsake it and be truly happy.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in lots of little ways. I read my scriptures and pray often because I need all the help I can get from Heavenly Father. Right now, I help plan activities in my ward, which is great because it brings everyone together for a good time in a great setting. I love doing service projects because I think I probably feel happier and better after I help someone than the person/people I helped. In high school, one of my Church teachers told me a quote that has stuck with me that describes how I should be trying to live. "Live so that those who know you but don't know God will want to know God because they know you." And that's what I'm trying to do.
