Hi I'm Joshua

I grew up in phionex Az and was raised in the jewish religin. I am now a Mormon.

About Me

I am former Navy, a husband to a beautiful and lovely wife, a father of two wonderful girls. I have two jobs: in the day I work as an Inspector and Materials Tester for road construction and by night I am a manager at Harkins Movie Theaters. As a hobby I fight in full midieval armor with a group called the SCA.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as an Orthodox Jew. I did not feel that I was full, something was missing. This was not a new feling to me; I had felt this way since I can remember. My wife introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I started taking the lessons from the missionaries little by little I learned of Jesus Christ, the Book of Mormon, Joseph Smith and Heavenly Father's Eternal Plan of Salvation. I was asked to pray if these teachings were true, to ask Heavenly Father in prayer with an open heart and mind for the answer. I did pray, as I started, a feeling of calming warmth started to grow from my the center of my chest and radiated outward until it covered me. I knew the answer to my question. Now I had more questions and a thirst for the teachings of Jesus Christ. I was Baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on 12/03/2005. I have found what was missing from my life, I now feel full.

How I live my faith

Living Ones' faith is not just what I do for me or my family, but how I treat and serve others. Studying and reading the Scripturs with and with out the family, having family time, going to church, keeping the sabbath day holy are very important. Service to others is the hardest and most rewarding. An Example: was working all night till 2am and got back up at 6am to help clean up the alley ways in the neighborhood. Or making my self available to help people with whatever kind of job thay might need help with. Regardless of how sleep deprived I feel I am, I get a boost of energy that sustains me. I feel good knowing I am about the business my Savior spoke of. Besides physical service, I serve my fellow man by being respectful and courteous to them, not passing judgement for their actions or their looks and try to treat them as I want to be treated. I try to live my life acording to Jesus Christ teachings and his examples.
