Hi I'm Rebecca

I'm Pre-med. I'm a food enthusiast. I'm a musician. I'm a daughter. I'm a sister. I'm an aunt. But first I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Someday, I'd like to become a doctor. I'm working hard right now to get into medical school and that as you know is not an easy task. Therefore, much of my time is spent in the basement of the university's library. Jogging is probably the only thing that keeps me sane from the stress. When I'm not locked up in the library, I like to spend time with my friends and family. I'm the last child of six and I have three nephews and one niece. I speak Spanish and fell in love with Peru when I went there for a medical internship. I lived there for three months and will never forget the people and the experiences I had. I love to cook and eat. I call myself a food enthusiast:) Place good food in front of me and I will be content for the rest of the day. I also love music. I grew up in a house where music was always played. I play the guitar and ukulele. I sing, but prefer to sing with an instrument in front of me.

Why I am a Mormon

The simple answer is that it makes me happy! I truly believe that the way to have a spectacular life is to be happy. It's a choice that we make every morning when we wake up. I was born and raised in the church, but that is not why I'm a Mormon. I'm a Mormon because I, personally, know that it's true. For me, it wasn't in one big event that I gained my testimony. It was through many years of trying to do the things that Christ has asked me to do and seeing the blessings that come from that. I know that when I follow the teachings of Christ, I am happy. The gospel is that simple. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that he restored the church of Jesus Christ. We also have a modern day prophet to deliver the word of God to us for our day and age. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. It is full of amazing people just like us. They can guide us with their words and we can learn from them. We have temples around the world to give us the opportunity to be with our family forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through the small things. I try and dedicate a part of everyday to the Lord. I study the scriptures, counsel with the Lord through prayer, and serve others. I work hard to be the best person I can, to be what He would want me to be. I live a life that is full of happiness because I love to live my faith.
