Hi I'm Granger

I'm a Mormon. And have been all of my life. I was born in Oregon, raised in Arizona & now live in Utah.

About Me

I am retired father, grandfather. I am married to a retired lady who used to be a worker at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah. I operated heavy equipment and drove truck and worked as a laborer. I've broke horses to ride, worked in the timber, and in construction

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the Church and took it for granted until in my 19th year when I got shot by a shotgun. That put me in the hospital for about 6 months. While I was recovering I took the opportunity to read the Book of Mormon. I felt the power of the Holy Ghost in my reading, and immediately knew that what I was reading was true. I survived the shotgun wound to marry and raise a great family. Although I'm in a wheelchair now it has well been worth the struggles that I've encountered. I've chosen to be a member because I know that the Prophet, Thomas S. Monson, will lead me where I want to go, back to live with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I've come to realize that the stories of the lives of my ancestors are true, that I've heard all of my life. My great grandfather was Frederick Granger Williams, 2nd Coun. to the Prophet Joseph Smith.

How I live my faith

I am a home Teacher to two families and I have a different situation, since they come to my home to be taught, because their's has stairs and my wheelchair doesn't do stairs very well. My wife and I have served a mission in Salt Lake City, I do a lot of indexing, and otherwise help out in my Ward.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Granger
I know that Joseph Smith Jr. was a real person because my great grandfather was ordained by him and my great- great grandfather was one of his counselors and my great great grandmother helped take care of him when he was tarred and feathered, after all my great great grandfather was a medical doctor and his wife was his nurse at times. The Bible through the prophesying of Joseph, who was sold by his brothers into Egypt talks about Joseph Smith Junior and Senior. Show more Show less
