Hi I'm Benjamin Epperson

I grew up in West Valley City, Utah. I love being physically active and just having fun in the moments of life!

About Me

I am number six of nine children in my family. Growing up with a big family was just great. Having someone to play with or answer my questions (no matter how unintelligent they might have been) was the greatest and most tender experiences to start my life. I love doing anything in, on, or under the water! It also helps to have three brothers around my age to do them with too. I've always had an enjoyment with numbers and dates in time. It's just something that helps pass time and is a fun challenge. Needless to say I am a video gamer, but not hardcore... anymore. I've come to realize that life has more to offer by working through it and being given the reward of our labors. There is definitely more for me to learn but I see the next few decades of life being a great adventure.

Why I am a Mormon

While growing up and going through that teenage phase of life, I didn't really have my own testimony. It wasn't until we had a tragedy occur in our family that I even wanted to know if the church was true. It's funny how big events like that make people change. That's exactly what happened for me. I wasn't the best person in the world, but I wasn't the worst either. After the event I really did want to know. I found strength in prayer, repentance, and comfort from family and friends. I can't say in particular why I changed, or wanted to change, but I see now that it was necessary. I am enjoying the great blessings of the Atonement everyday and see that I don't have to stress out about not being perfect. The Savior made it possible for me to cast upon Him all my burdens. "Come all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." I have found true purpose in my life, and it is to make it back to my Father in Heaven and bring as many of His children to Him as well.

How I live my faith

I've been in D.C and Maryland for about a year and half serving a mission. People here are amazing.
