Hi I'm Tyson

I'm a husband, a father of 4, a CFO and a cyclist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have been married for 18 years and each year it seems like life gets busier and busier. Our children are ages 4 - 14 and as they grow older they become involved in more and more activities. Between the piano, viola, violin, dance, soccer, homework, seminary, church dances, babysitting, recitals, games and an occasional date night, life is very busy in our home. Fortunately for me, I have a wonderful wife who is an unbelievable mother. Without a doubt she is what keeps us all sane throughout all the activities our family is involved in. I have been active in sports my whole life. Most recently, I have started a new hobby with cycling. I enjoy riding long distances with a great group of people. Cycling is challenging and it has helped me keep a good balance with work, family and staying fit.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church but never really had a testimony of my own until I went on my mission. It was there that I took the challenge of Moroni to find out for myself if the church was true. I prayed to find out if the Book of Mormon was true and if Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God. I received a very distinct answer to my prayer that it was true and my life changed from that moment. I learned that Heavenly Father cared enough about me to answer my prayer and I am so grateful for that.

How I live my faith

Being a member of the LDS church is not a once a week ordeal. it is a way of life. I have been able to serve others in many different ways such as the youth program, scouting, ward missionary program, ward finance clerk, employment specialist, etc. Each of these opportunities has given me a greater understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ and what it truly means to serve others.
