Hi I'm Terry

I am a mother of 6, and a grandmother of 5. I love life and try to make the best out of each day. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always enjoyed being involved with people and have been a volunteer at my children's schools for many years. I have managed businesses and owned my own business on two occasions. I am a mother of 6 and a grandmother of 5. Being there for my children and husband have been very important to me. I enjoy playing and watching all kinds of sports, reading, decorating, the beach and the mountains. In my younger years running was my favorite hobby and I ran many 10k's, a half marathon and a marathon. I still enjoy walking and working out.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I read the scriptures often and I have prayed and I know that my prayers have been answered. In my life I have seen many small miracles on a daily basis. Some people would say they were coincidences or luck but I have known through a special feeling in my heart that they were gifts from a loving Heavenly Father. Even in times of extreme difficulty when I turn to him I often receive a comforting feeling and assurance that he knows me, knows what I am going through and that he loves me. It has given me strength and guidance. I love being able to serve other people and I have been able to serve in our church and in our community. I have read the Book of Mormon a number of times and have prayed to know if it is true. I know without a doubt that it is and have used the scriptures found in this book as guidance in my life along with scriptures in the Bible. Being a Mormon gives me hope in this life and a purpose to live. Being obedient and obeying the commandments found in the scriptures is a personal choice and I have enjoyed the blessings of happiness and joy as I have chosen to follow my Savior Jesus Christ. He set the example for us in serving others, loving others and the ultimate sacrifice of his life for us so that we can have Eternal Life. I love him and dedicate my life to him. I know he lives and I am thankful for that knowledge and grateful for the direction it gives my life.

How I live my faith

I have been able to serve in our community and in our ward in many ways. I have always been very involved with the Youth and I love them. I have served in the schools and on several Booster club boards. There are great people out there trying to help their children become the best they possibly can. I have served as a camp director for 150 teenage girls. It was pretty much a full time job without pay but the payback in fun, happiness and fullfillment were incredible. I worked with many other adults that gave so much time and energy and were such a positive influence in my life. I have also worked with the women's organization of our church and have been able to help others when they are sick or have struggled in any way by watching their children or taking meals into them or giving a listening ear. I have currently been able to help my in-laws as they have been dealing with a terminal illness. There is nothing greater than serving others. As I have served others I have noticed my own troubles go from the forefront to the background and on many occasions I realize things I thought were significant really weren't. There are so many wonderful people in this world and I have been privelaged to work side by side with many of them who have blessed my life incredibly.
