Hi I'm Megan

I'm a graphic and interior designer. I love to decorate, dance, and have fun. I live in Philadelphia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I moved to Philadelphia in the summer of 2011. I grew up on the west coast, went to school in Utah, was a missionary in the midwest, and now reside on the east coast. In 2009 I fulfilled one of my life dreams of traveling through Europe and it was everything I had hoped it would be. In 2010 I married my best friend in San Diego. I don't really believe people are "meant" for each other but it sure feels like it with my husband. We are two newlyweds having some fun times in the city of brotherly love and enjoying it very much. I am intensely passionate about art and art history. I also love TV shows from the 90s. And of course, chocolate.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because I know Joseph Smith is a prophet. I grew up in the Church but always struggled with this fact. I prayed many times but one evening when I prayed most sincerely I got my answer and although it's hard to be a member sometimes, I know its true without a doubt. I know the commandments bring happiness--blessings that our Heavenly Father WANTS to give us. He wants us to be so happy and he has given us a way to do it--it may not be popular but it's true, and that's what really matters. Making the sacrifice to live the gospel is so, so worth it--but we never know until AFTER we make the leap of faith to practice the things we know we should do. THEN we get the blessing. That's what makes it so hard, but so worth it.

How I live my faith

My husband and I work with the boy scouts. At first I was really nervous since I had little experience with scouting, but I have really grown to be so proud of the boys we work with. I love to talk about the gospel with pretty much anyone who will listen. I like to meet diverse people and share our experiences as part of the human community.
