Hi I'm Abby

I'm an older sister and swimmer. I love French and serving others. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at BYU-Provo. I am currently studying to become a Sports Dietician. I love music, and I am constantly listening to new finds. I have a passion for student leadership and uniting kids to get them excited about school. I love to swim and play sports. I am politically active as an intern for my district assemblyman. I love reading, my favorite book is Les Miserables. My very favorite thing to do is be with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a part of the Lord's true church because I know for myself that the teachings and principles of this gospel are true. I have read the Book of Mormon on my own and I have followed Moroni's challenge to ask of God if it is true (Mornoi 10:4-5). My testimony has been strengthened by going to church, summer camps, going to seminary before school, and by personal prayer. I know this is Heavenly Fathers true church on the earth today and I am so grateful for Joseph Smith and the early members of the church who fought so hard and endured endless persecution in order to spread the truth. The gospel brings so much joy to my life. I cannot wait to serve a mission for the church and share the good news of the gospel with as many people as possible.

How I live my faith

I love going to BYU because I feel free to live my life the in harmony with the gospel without the pressures of the world. However, I loved going to high school in Southern California, because I met so many diverse people of different faiths. I live by the standards set out by the prophets in the "For Strength of Youth" pamphlet. I try to pray night and day, and read my scriptures every day. I know I am happier when I follow the teaching of the prophets. I follow what the prophets advise because I love my Savior. I live my faith by making it a part of every day life. I "always have a prayer in my heart" and I constantly try to think "what would Jesus do?" I find that is the easiest way to make good decisions. Living in harmony with the principles of the Gospel makes my life more peaceful and free.
