Hi I'm Kay

I'm a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a missionary and I love it! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family. We are close to each other, and they are what make me the happiest. We love to do things together: camping, vacation, swimming, anything! We have 7 children, 21 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren spread out in the west. But right now my husband and I have left our family to serve a mission in Kirtland, Ohio at the Historic Kirtland Visitor's Center. We get to work with the young sister missionaries and the senior couples that serve at the visitor's center, and we LOVE it! It brings us great joy. When not at the visitor's center, I love to volunteer and serve in any way I can. I also love to shop and my favorite things to collect are Christmas Nativities.

Why I am a Mormon

Like so many others, I was born into the church, but it has fit me well throughout my life. When our youngest son was 18 years old, he died in a car accident. For so many others, this may have weakened faith, but for me and my family, it was an opportunity to learn more about Heavenly Father's plan and to strengthen our faith in the Lord's love for us and our son.

How I live my faith

My husband and I are currently serving a mission in Kirtland, but we previously worked with refugees from Thailand. It was an amazing experience for us. As we worked with these refugees, I saw the scriptures coming to life. The gospel is being spread throughout the whole world and brings great joy and healing to the individuals and families of those refugees, and all people. I try and live my faith by example to my children, friends, and all with whom I associate.
