Hi I'm Elli Alves

I'm always laughing, I love being random, & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

So, I grew up in a small town in Idaho! My graduation class was just 22 kids, many of which i knew since preschool! Being in a small school gave me many opportunities to participate in activities! I played basketball & volleyball throughout jr. high and high school, ran track then golf, and participated in drill team and cheerleading for a couple years. Then there was youth gov, HOSA, & a bunch of other clubs. As I said small school, small town, had to keep busy doing something! Now I am 18 years old and on my own at college! I am attending Utah State University, which is mostly made up of Mormons! I have meet some amazing people up here, Mormon and non, alike! I am undeclared and have really no idea what to do with my life... I think I kinda miss high school, where my classes and life was just laid out for me! Oh well, I know God has a plan for me, I just have to be patient and wait to uncover the details one step at a time.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family, but that is not the reason why I am a Mormon. I am a Mormon because I LOVE THIS CHURCH! I LOVE the principles, the standards. I LOVE the people, I LOVE THE GOSPEL! I LOVE knowing that I can be with my family forever! I LOVE knowing that Heavenly Father loves and knows everyone of us! I LOVE Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for us!. l LOVE learning about everything that God has done for me. I LOVE knowing that I don't just end, when I die and leave this Earth. I LOVE knowing that trials are only there to strengthen us. I LOVE knowing that God is there for us if we just ask. I LOVE knowing that I can be forgiven of my sins because of Jesus Christ's sacrifice, I LOVE our living prophets. I LOVE the beautiful temples. I LOVE BEING A MORMON!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best everyday to follow the path our Savior left for us. I try to be kind to others, and help whenever I can; I try to fulfill my callings as well as I can and read my scriptures everyday; I try to go to church every Sunday and I try not to judge or put down anyone. I realize it's hard sometimes, there are days when I get so caught up in the world that I forget the main reason why I'm are here, I forget the path I should be on, but when I remember, I feel so happy that it doesn't matter what the world is doing and that sometimes my standards won't let me fit in with it, because I know my Father in Heaven & my Savior love me, and that for me is enough.
