Hi I'm Madison!

I'm a Texan living in Utah. I teach special education. I love my nieces and nephews. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey y'all! I'm a special education teacher in Provo, Utah. I grew up in Texas and moved here to go to college, and decided to stay put for now. I believe that every person on this earth can learn and we can become our best person when we turn to the Lord. Special education has truly helped to strengthen my testimony. It reminds me daily that we all have weaknesses, but some people's weaknesses are just easier to see. As a female young adult, I can find myself having moments where all I see in myself are weaknesses and I don't feel confident at all. Despite these thoughts, I know that I am a daughter of God and that I am of great worth. You can find me planning trips and vacationing all summer, attempting to craft and bake, reading, and hanging out with my nieces and nephews!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this restored gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I know that Christ is my Savior and through Him we can live with our Heavenly Father again. I have been able to learn through the Holy Ghost the truth of this gospel and gain my own testimony. When I was little, I saw my siblings get baptized, I saw them and my parents strong testimonies and their sincere efforts in living this gospel. But it was only through my own experiences that I learned the truth for myself. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I personally know that it is the true gospel. I have a testimony of living prophets and why we have them on this earth today. They help to lead and guide us throughout this life on earth, so that we can return to our Heavenly Father's presence again and live as eternal families. I know that I am a stronger person because of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This gospel helps me to keep an eternal perspective, and not sweat the small things (as much). I am a Mormon because Jesus Christ, his prophets, and the scriptures make my life more joyful.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to choose the right everyday. It's as simple as that. If I'm choosing the right, then I'm trying to be like my Savior, Jesus Christ and that's what it's all about. A lot of my family members and friends are serving mission for the church right now and I strive everyday to help be a missionary to those I come into contact with. I've learned that I can be a missionary by simply having the light of Christ with me, by smiling, by being friendly, and by being people's friends. We all need friends, and Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father are the best one's to choose.

What is the Relief Society?

Madison!
The Relief Society is a women's organization for women 18 years of age and older. It is one way the church helps us to form friendships, bonds, and strengthen one another. Through Relief Society we as women are able to support each other in our different endeavors, help each other when we need assistance, and build each other up in the gospel. We are given opportunities to serve and get to know one another. But most importantly, we can share our testimonies with each other and strengthen one another through the inspired organization of Relief Society. It is so much more than a group of women; it is a support system in all that we do. Show more Show less

How are modesty and chastity related? How can parents teach their children to be modest in dress, language and behavior?

Madison!
Being a teenage girl in this world is not the easiest thing to do, and dressing modestly was definitely something I had to be conscious of. I know that how I dress influences how people treat me and I want to be treated as the daughter of God that I am. I know that because my body is a sacred gift from my Heavenly Father I need to treat it right, which includes dressing modestly and being chaste. By covering my body and dressing appropriately I show that I respect myself and then others will to. Body language is a big part of being modest and that if I want others to treat me with respect then I need to respect myself. Show more Show less
