Hi I'm Connie

I grew up in a small town in Idaho. I have a wonderful family, and I enjoy traveling, making new friends, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a military wife, Mother, Grandmother, dental assistant and part time student. I decided later in life to continue my education. So far it has been an wonderful experience. I'm not saying that it has been easy. I have had many challenges along the way, but I have a wonderful husband and five children who support me in this decision. We are a happy family and we love to do things together! I love to do crafts, sew, scrap book and of course I enjoy being outside working in the yard, hiking, biking, camping and being with friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up going to this church. All of my family are members of this church. My parents were a good example to me along the way in addition to the teachers and leaders at church. I know that Joseph Smith helped to restore the gospel to the Earth once again. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ when he went to the grove of trees to pray. We can have our prayers answered, too, if we have enough faith and courage to pray and ask for Heavenly Father's help. I know that Heavenly Father loves me and wants the best for me. It is now up to me to strive to do my best in all that I do.

How I live my faith

I have had the opportunity to work with the youth for many years at church. From the really small children in nursery to the youth up to 18 years of age. This brings me great joy in my life as I watch them grow and mature and learn to apply lessons to their lives that have been taught to them. One of my favorite things to do is to go to girls camp with the young women. This is a week of fun filled with activities, which include games, camping skills, and a testimony meeting. My daughter and I enjoy volunteering at the thrift store in town. It is fun to get to know others in the community. As I go to college, I often have the opportunity to talk with others about my beliefs, my standards, and activities that I am involved with. Our family enjoys supporting the boy scout program, helping with eagle scout projects, and serving those around us that need help.

What is Mormonism? OR What do Mormons believe?

Mormons are a nick-name give to members of our church many years ago, but we belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in his Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. Show more Show less
