Hi I'm Jordan

I grew up in Utah and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 28 years old, married to the love of my life and the father of one beautiful girl. I enjoy the outdoors, hunting and fishing. I graduated from college and now work full time as the meat manager in a grocery store.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my whole life, but we all need to gain our own faith as we grow older. I questioned my faith and searched for the truth myself. One night as I read the Book of Mormon and prayed, my heart felt it was true. It was more than a feeling, it is God telling my spirit it was true. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God, everything else just falls into place. As we go through life we will face challanges that test our faith, but as long as I hold on to that feeling I had, my faith will never be taken from me. I know the gospel is true.

How I live my faith

My faith is like a guiding light that teaches me how to act and how to treat others. We are all trying to be like Jesus and to follow his example. The gospel helps us to be better people and to grow spiritually. Besides being a place for spiritual growth and learning, it is a place for physical service. Even Christ feed the multitude physically before he feed them spiritually. Service in the church is about helping people both spiritually and physically. I have had many opportunies to help others and I am always grateful for the chance to help out. Recently, I was able to pick up a load of hay for someone that was dealing with a devistating tragedy in their family. They never knew exactly who got it for them, just that it came from the church. It was a simple act, it only took a few hours but I felt great joy knowing I helped someone who really needed it. When we serve others, I think we gain more than what we give.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Jordan
Ancient prophets, who lived in North and South America, wrote about their lives and prophecies. These small books were all put together to form a history of the people in the Americas by a prophet called Mormon. That is why it is called the Book of Mormon. Just like the Bible is a spiritual history of the people in the Middle East, the Book of Mormon is the history of the ancient people in the Americas. Both books are witnesses of Jesus Christ and teach his gospel.  Show more Show less
