Hi I'm Travis

Although my family has been in Maryland since the 1600's, I have a passion for the world. I hope I can see it all. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up I enjoyed searching for what made me happy. I liked playing golf, basketball, and football. I have spent time riding motocross, and racing streetbikes at the racetrack. Blessed by a merciful creator, He helped me stay safe and protected through my follies and led me to a wonderful wife who accepted me and showed me love. We have been given four incredible children that have helped raise us. They have truly shown us where actuall happiness comes from. It is not found in the world but protected in the home!

Why I am a Mormon

When my wife and I had our first son it was apparent that there was a need of direction in our lives. Going to the local church helped us explore the foundation which had been instilled from our progenitors. It took a few years of study and pondering to truly come to some personal questions of what do we believe? What is the doctrine that is taught in the congregation we reside in? Is that what rings true in our hearts, is it what testifies to our soul? That began another adventure of consideration. One that went from knee to door. As we began to question what life meant, why we were here and how we were to get back to where we came from with sincerity, our Heavenly Father stepped in. He helped us start to receive guidance and answers through friends and family. As life pressed forward we had two young men just 5 years younger than us stop at our door desiring to share a message with us. That message changed our lives. Through time and patience, study and consideration a vision was beginning to show itself. The knowledge of a plan for us individually and as families. A simple and yet complete plan of happiness. A plan known by me long before I was seeking. Through baptism and the sealing ordinance of the Temple we gleaned an eternal perspective of who we are and what this journey of life really is.

How I live my faith

Faith is lived in daily life. It starts when we wake up and continues when we go to sleep. Living to help my kids make a stronger society, understand who they are, and help others that need it. We live what we believe.
