Hi I'm David L

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in California and was not a Mormon until later in life.

About Me

I grew up in Southern California and knew a few Latter Day Saints. I married an LDS girl that was not very active and was not involved in church activities. We did have food storage, witch help when I was out of work. I started going to church when my sons were going to Primary in 1976, a year later I was baptized. I have moved to Utah and then to Maryland.

Why I am a Mormon

I had been to a lot of different churches growing up and found that they all seemed to have something missing. I had ideas of what churches should have and some things that they should believe. One is that everyone will have eternal life through Christ and will go to heaven to be with our families. I found all of my ideas and more in the LDS faith.

How I live my faith

Most of my church life I have been in a leadership position. But recently I was able to teach Primary and work with children from 6 to 11 years old. I learned about how much I have to study to be able to present a good lesion and that even when it looked like the children were not paying attention, they would tell there parents something that we talked about in class. I am the ward clerk now and found it inspiring to work with the Bishop and his counselors.
