Hi I'm Nicole

I'm a fun girl from LA (Lower Alabama) HA! I'm a wife & mother, a photographer, and a social butterfly. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a southern girl that grew up in small town Alabama. I have been a mormon my whole life!! I was the ONLY mormon in my grade and one of just a few in my whole town. Growing up I was a cheerleader, sorority girl, or class clown. I avoided all talk of religion!! Now, I'm a full-time mother and wife, part-time photographer, and a social butterfly! Now, I LOVE to talk about my religion to others. No hiding it now!! I am proud to be a Mormon and share our beliefs with so many. I don't do it to convert people rather to inform. Being from the south I know that there are so MANY misconceptions of my faith and I take it as my personal mission to clear those up! My motto is that you can't have two many friends. The more diverse friends the better!! We are all so different and we can learn so much from one another!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints but that doesn't mean I'm not a convert! At a young age I thought happiness meant popularity. I was more concerned with how others viewed me. In my early twenties, my world came crumbling down. I realized that things had to change and they had to change quickly! I quit my job, moved to a new city, and began going BACK to church! I took my time re-learning/living the religion I was raised in and slowly built my life around the Gospel of Jesus Christ and it's principles. Now, I have a wonderful hubby, who I married in the temple, and three beautiful little girls. I still find myself drawn to "the popular" ideals, .e. fashion, music, popularity, etc. But I now know where to draw the line. I know how to be ME...but the better me, the me that my Father in Heaven wants me to be!!

How I live my faith

Mainly, I try to remember that my Lord and Savior is always with me! I am FAR from perfect, but I know that every choice I make in this life has a consequence. Whether it's a good or bad consequence is up to my choice. So, I try to make right choices. Most people I socialize with are non-members, so I hope through my actions they will learn more about my faith. Currently, I serve in the church by being a meeting assistant! I'm pretty sure they gave me that calling or "job/title" b/c well, I'm pretty darn good at putting together a social event! In the past I've been in the children's Sunday School leadership and a sunday school teacher. But, My favorites service in charge to date has been working with Young Women ages 12-18 as a leader to them! That age is so fun to me!

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

The way I came to know my Father in Heaven was by TWO ways! First, studying his scriptures. The Bible AND the Book of Mormon. I have had many questions answered to me through reading certain verses. It's funny how certain scripture verses can speak to us differnetly at different times in our lives or in certain situations. Second, through adversity and MUCH prayer. Well, I guess that's 3. The times I have felt closest to my Father in Heaven have been during times of trials. During those times I am always more fervent in prayer and scripture study. Being on a spiritual high is the greatest feeling. And knowing you've made the right decision b/c the Lord revealed to you the best path for your life. That's AWESOME! The Lord will answer your prayers...you just need to ask and be prepared for an answer! Show more Show less
