Hi I'm Liorah

I was born and raised in Hawaii. I'm a married, mother of two. I'm a real estate agent. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am 34 years old and will be married 7 years this summer to my best friend, Ben. We have a BEAUTIFUL three year old daughter and a fifteen month old son who have brought so much joy to us! I LOVE being a mom, especially THEIR mom!! But as much as I enjoy motherhood, I love being Ben's wife even more. I quit my job as a bank manager after I had my daughter and now work as a real estate agent. It allows me to stay home with my children, while still 'working' a little. It has been quite the transition for me to stay home, but I like to think I've adjusted well and am so grateful that I have the opportunity to spend everyday with our little ones.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church when I was in high school. My parents had been members for years, but were less active while my brothers and I were growing up. The gospel wasn't really discussed in our home and I remember, even as a child, struggling with the questions of what would happen to me after I died and where did I really come from. I don't remember the reason my parents decided to go back to church, but they did and my brothers and I were baptized. I remember when I finally receieved the answers to the questions that had tormented me for so long. I remember how peaceful it felt to know that there was life after death and that we will be reunited with loved ones. I loved and still do love knowing that families are forever. I love that Ben and I and our little family will be together as a family in the eternities. I love that Heavenly Father and our Savior love us so much that a way has been prepared for us to return to them someday. The peace and comfort that come with knowing that is priceless!

How I live my faith

Going to church on Sunday is one of the highlights of my week! I'm fortunate to teach the young women on Sundays, ages 12-18. Although, I think I learn more from them than they learn from me. They are such amazing examples to me and consistently surprise me with the love that they show each other and with the strength they have to live in this world and not become part of it. There is so much temptation and evil in this day and age and our youth are faced with it constantly. It takes strength, integrity and faith to be able to stand up for truth and live up to the values they're taught. I am so thankful to be raising my own daughter and son in the church and that from an early age, they will learn the standards and principles needed to live a life of joy.
