Hi I'm Kelly

I am from the USA. Hobbies include gardening, reading, watching movies, running and family activities. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 52 year old husband and father of 3 great kids. I have been married for 30 years and am a grandpa of 1 amazing grandson. I work full time as an account manager for a large Information Technology corporation. I love to garden, read, watch movies, but most of all, I love spending time with my family. I enjoy doing things that bring joy and happiness to others, especially when they are not expecting it.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ becaues it truly brings peace to my soul and hope that I can continue to become a better person by following His example. Jesus Christ's atonement not only provides the way for me to repent and be forgiven but also provides a way for me to have the capacity to forgive others. I know that Jesus Christ knows who I am. He carries my sorrows and pains. He rejoices in my joys and successes. He loves all of us in a way that we can't fully comprehend. He has given us the most amazing gifts of life, family and eternal truths that when followed, bring great joy into our lives. I am like most other people who want to make great choices but sometimes fail miserably. However, every morning I wake up, I beliive that with Christ's help, I can progress and become the person he knows I can be. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has provided my family with so many blessings. I love the fact that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ direct this Church through a living prophet just as they have done throughout much of the history of the world. We also have the oportunity to receive direct revelation from God concerning our own lives and the lives of our families if we will take the time to listen. One of the greatest blessings that comes from being a member of the Church is the absolute knowledge I have that my family is eternal. I have the opportunity be be with them as a family unit forever. What joy this brings to me and makes me all the more focused on living my life the best way that I can.

How I live my faith

I am not one who likes to make a big splash. I prefer to live my life making a difference through small and quiet acts. When I see a need, I try to fill it to the best of my ability. I try to think of ways others have positively affected my life and replicate that in the lives of others. My goals focus on making steady improvements in my life but sometimes it seems more like 2 steps forward and 1 step back. I guess that is better than 1 step forward and 2 steps back, which by the way occurs on occassions as well. Honesty, faithfulness and fulfilling commitments are important values to me. I hope my friends and acquaitances feel they can count on me to do what I say I will do. I try to live my faith by making choices I can be proud of and by being a positive influence in others lives. Fulfilling vairous responsibilities in my Church has taught me many things, but most of all, it has taught me that laedership is best exhibited by example and service to others.
