Hi I'm Janet

I live in the United States. I am a mother and a teacher. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother to three children and have been married for 23 years. I really enjoy baking and trying out new recipes. I think I have more cookbooks than all the other kinds of books combined on my bookshelves! I also love to knit and ride my bicycle. Right now I am teaching preschool in the mornings and I absolutely love my job!

Why I am a Mormon

As a teenager, I became very conscious of the fact that I wanted to have a relationship with God. I wasn't a member of any church nor did I attend any sunday services. I started praying and reading the bible to learn as much as I could. Shortly after I began this personal quest, a friend from school invited me to an activity at her church that was being held for teenage girls. She belonged to the Mormon Church. I attended the activity and was so touched by how welcoming everyone was and by how much I really enjoyed the activity. I began attending church with her and her family. Soon after, the missionaries began teaching me the discussions. I loved meeting with the missionaries. I completely accepted all as truth. I cannot describe the joy I felt as I learned, read, prayed, and studied all that the missionaries were teaching me. I gained a testimony of my own by praying and receiving a joyful knowledge that this was Heavenly Father's true church and that I needed to be baptized and become a member. I was baptized at the age of 17.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending all my church meetings and by serving in various church organizations where the Lord needs me. I am presently serving in the Nursery teaching the 18 month to 3 year olds. We have a fun time together learning about Heavenly Father and Jesus. We love to sing songs about Jesus and how Jesus wants us to be. Our favorites include "Jesus said love everyone" and "Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam".
