Hi I'm Wendy Lorraine

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Disciple of Jesus - Happy Soul - Wife for Forty Years - Mum to Five - Mother-in-Law to Five - Grandmother of Twenty-One - Blessed!

Why I am a Mormon

My grandmother's testimony and the faithfulness of good people from my youth form the bedrock of my own sure witness, Jesus is The Way, The Truth, and The Life. I am blessed and want to share with all who desire the peace and safety that is found in the redeeming power of He who is mighty to save. I treasure my membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The heavens are open. A loving God directs the work of his people. I rejoice - The Lord is King. The gospel of Jesus Christ and the power of a personal Savior saw me through abuse and the death of my parents when I was six years old. This power continued to help me through many challenges that followed. I know that through Christ "I can do all things." With a clear knowledge of the Plan of Happiness provided by a loving Heavenly Father, the mix of good and bad we know as life, is purposeful and truly felt to be a blessing.

How I live my faith

The expression of my faith is found in the love I have for God, my family, and the wonderful people I am fortunate to associate with. With all of my heart I feel the truth that each and every soul I come in contact with is precious to their Heavenly Father. How I want to be a true disciple of that love in the way I am aware of and treat others. This is my covenant as a Latter-Day Saint. "and now, as ye are desirous to come into the fold of God, and to be called his people, and are willing to bear one another’s burdens, that they may be light Yea, and are willing to mourn with those that mourn yea, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort, and to stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places that ye may be in, even until death, that ye may be redeemed of God, . . . baptized in the name of the Lord, as a witness before him that ye have entered into a covenant with him, that ye will serve him and keep his commandments, that he may pour out his Spirit more abundantly upon you?" Mosiah 188-10 One of the great blessings of his Spirit, is the increased capacity to love God's children.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Wendy Lorraine
Throughout history our Father in Heaven has been mindful of his children. Scriptures are written by those who know the hand of God in their lives. The Bible was written by Old World witnesses of Christ. The Book of Mormon was written by New World witnesses. My witness is written in my faith journal blog. From personal experience as well as scriptural accounts I have come to know in the deepest part of my heart that we are loved and known by a just and merciful God. The Book of Mormon prophets so clearly articulate the nature of God and his great Plan of Happiness for his children that those who read with "real intent" may be blessed with pure knowledge and an understanding of the purpose of life. The opportunity to live according to light and truth is a marvel and a wonder. Show more Show less
