Hi I'm Jessica

I love playing virtually every sport, I'm a wife, a hairstylist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a hair stylist and an art teacher. Music is my constant hobby. I love taking evening walks with my family and getting schooled at running by my little sister even though my legs are 2x longer than hers. My all-time favorite sport is water polo but I love all rigorous sports, as well as the ones that require thought and calculation. I have an affinity for traveling and foreign foods and discovering culture, local and international. My goals for the next ten years are to receive a double-major Bachelor degree, then maybe get a Masters and become a Master Hair Stylist. I know that the journey won't always be easy or comfortable, it will definitely be hard work but it will be fun and so worth every step.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior. I know that God, our Heavenly Father, knows and loves me. He helps me even when I'm not humble enough to ask and He guides me even when I think I can see life's obstacles. I chose to discover for myself if this church was "IT" and found that there simply is no other place, no other faith, that could bring me such joy and knowledge and freedom and opportunity to grow. I could never feel more whole than I do with this Gospel. Because of the faith and knowledge I have of these things, because I know my Heavenly Father has much for me to do, I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by volunteering at the weekly youth group and teaching classes on Sundays. I dedicated eighteen months of my life to serve a mission and teach people who are interested in this church and about the blessings of peace that the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ can bring to their lives. I live my faith by being honest and maintaining my integrity in work environments where it is easier and more popular to skirt around the rules. I try my best to see everyone as God does, with love and patience.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is the statement, or outward expression, of personal knowledge of the truth of something. I know that God is my Heavenly Father and He loves me. He sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to perform the Infinite Atonement so that we can one day live with God again. And I know these very things because I have found out for myself, through the Bible and the Book of Mormon. These things are good for me , they are good for the soul, they are good for you. And God is the author of all things good and of all truths. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

We believe the Bible to be the direct word of God throughout past millenia. The texts and epistles compiled into the Old and New Testaments are the prophesies of the prophets of the Lord, meaning that the words we read are the things that God wants us to know and understand. The Bible testifies, through the words of these ancient prophets, of the divinity of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
