Hi I'm Kim Lewis

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Wife, Mother, Business Owner. I love people, travel, sewing, jogging, country dancing, hiking & camping.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this church has answered my questions better and in more detail than any other church on the face of the earth. Though raised LDS, I often was asked questions in regards to our beliefs. I had to study and know for myself. I began with very basic questions. Who has the proper authority to act in God's name? What is the true nature of God? Why are we here? And what happens when we die? So many questions. The answers are simple. Everything fits together like one big puzzle and we're putting the pieces together. Things like "Families Are Forever" and temples meant something to me. And Joseph Smith? I believed him the minute he opened his mouth. Here was a humble boy who asked a simple question. This one person and this one simple question, changed the world, through the mighty hand of God. Joseph Smith, made it possible for us to KNOW our Father in Heaven. Not just know of him. He brought heaven a little closer to us all. It makes me want to be better. I don't want a lot of empty rituals or to go to church to be entertained. I want to be filled with the Spirit of God. I love the LDS people and how they live their lives. These are the people I want to associate with.

How I live my faith

I am a person who loves my religion and lives it. It has given me the opportunity to grow in ways I never thought possible. Many, in ways that were useful on a resume. I've worked with teenagers, the youth, cub scouts and have had opportunities to give back to the community. One of the biggest things I love about this church is the humanitarian aid that is given year after year and being able to contribute in such a worthy cause.

Are Mormons Christians?

Kim Lewis
Something that I've never understood, is how people come to the conclusion that Mormons aren't Christians. In my experience, here is a large group of people who is taught to love Christ, live his teachings and keep his commandments. He's in our very name. We're The Church of Jesus Christ. Not the church of Joseph Smith. We're taught to serve others both in and out of our church. In the end, the Lord will be the real judge as to whether or not we're christians.    Show more Show less
