Hi I'm Chris

I grew up in Wallsburg Utah, I love farming, wrestling, and shredding the slopes on my snowboard, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

My name is Chris and I grew up in Wallsburg Utah working many long and hard days on our family farm, and I love every minute of it. Farming is an interesting vocation because it forces you to forget about yourself and work, something that has helped me my entire life. Along with farming I love wrestling, football and snowboarding because of the rush each give you. I would say that I enjoy basketball but they don't ever give you enough fouls to make it fun. Before my mission I lived the college life for a few months until I graduated from Snow College. Currently I'm serving as a missionary in the California Fresno Mission, The Lords Vineyard, and I love it!

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of the Church my entire life, but I had to gain a testimony just like everyone else. Being a member of The Church is such a blessing and it has changed my life in so many different ways. The beliefs I hold close to my heart help me each day to choose each day how I will live my life. I know the Gospel of Jesus Christ can help everyone no matter the situation, and that Christ's Gospel is found in its fullness through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I live my faith day by day. Each morning I pray to God for the assistance I need, and in His own way he blesses me beyond believe, especially serving as a full-time missionary. I've found that if you try and worry about too much, you can forget about why we are really here on earth, to gain a body and be tested so that one day we can return and live with our Father in Heaven. I love the quote by President Thomas S. Monson "God gives you memories so that you can enjoy spring roses in the winters of our lives." Without our day to day experiences, life would get rather dull, and when we really are experiencing a hard time, we can get lost wondering where God is and if He is there for us. Being a full-time missionary is one of the greatest blessings I've ever received. Not only has my testimony of this Church grown, but I am able to see the gospel effect the lives of everyday people, and watch them learn for themselves that this Church is true.
