Hi I'm Amelia

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother of four children. We are a blended family as this is my second marriage. I love gardening and canning and preserving foods. I also enjoy trying to keep in shape by jogging and doing Zumba! Music is a big part of my life. I have played piano since I was a child and now teach other children and adults to play. I feel fortunate to have this skill that allows me to be at home with my kids full time. I used to work in the dental field as an office manager prior to teaching piano. Home improvement projects are something that I love to try to do on my own and usually realize quickly that additional help is needed.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a mormon home and was baptized as an eight year old. As I grew older my testimony of the gospel was challenged in many ways. I continued to pray and read the Book of Mormon and the Bible. I know that God has consistently shown me that His true gospel is found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that he saw God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. They direct us through a prophet even today, Thomas S. Monson. I know that our Heavenly Father has a plan for each of us. He loves us and speaks to us through the Holy Ghost. This life is difficult with many trials along the way. Like most people, I have experienced many trials and hardships in my life. I know that when I turn to the Savior in all things and follow gospel principles in my life I am happier and can find peace. The gospel that Jesus Christ taught while he lived on the earth was lost but it has been restored and is found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I attend church on Sundays with my family. We focus a lot on our family and have family home evenings on Monday nights together. We teach each other gospel principles and have fun together. Once a month, or more, I visit with other women in our church and we discuss and teach each other about the gospel of Jesus Christ. We help each other and can rely on each other when needed. I teach the children at church to learn to sing the children's songs. We sing and learn from the messages of the songs and get to perform them for the adults in our sacrament meeting. I try to live an inspired life and be a woman of Faith.
